Our Team

Randy J. Parole - President & CEO

Mr. Parole is currently the President & CEO of Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, after joining the company in May 2006 as executive vice president. As president & CEO today, Parole oversees the company’s operations, financials and business development. He brings solid credentials and 28 years of experience working with businesses to improve lighting and energy consumption for commercial buildings.

Prior to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, Parole served as regional vice president of Amtech Lighting Services, managing finances and operations for the company’s $30 million Southwest U.S. region. Before that, he was president of Lighting Management Systems, a commercial lighting retrofit and energy services business. He also was branch manager of ABM Lighting Services’ Anaheim, Calif. location.

Mr. Parole is a Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC), a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Southern California.

Tom Johnson, Vice President of Sales

Mr. Johnson comes to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, Inc. with over 18 years experience in signage, lighting and energy conservation. He has held Senior Management positions with Amtech Lighting and Federal Sign & Signal where he successfully managed $25 million budgets.

Mr. Johnson specializes in energy conservation and retrofits by designing creative solutions through lighting and other electrical means within the retail, commercial, industrial, government and distribution industries. He partners with Property Managers and Owners, CFO's, CEO's and top-level executives in an effort to balance their investment and energy savings for the greatest benefit to their bottom-line.

Mr. Johnson is looking forward to the innovation and advancement of the lighting industry as it shifts toward ¡°Greening¡± buildings and facilities. He is an active member of both the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) in both Los Angeles and Orange County.

Aaron Brown, Western Regional Vice President

With 17 years of operational and executive management overseeing both start-up and established operations, Aaron comes to Progressive following 6 years of extensive experience operating a portfolio of highly successful Energy Efficiency Programs under contract with Investor Owned Utilities and municipal entities. Today they are:

Striving for operational excellence, Aaron is driven to discover and exceed client expectations. He promotes success through teamwork, placing great value on quality, integrity and attention to detail. Years of facilities maintenance oversight allow Aaron to easily connect with Facilities Management on their priorities, as well concerns regarding, equipment specification, budget, aesthetics, warranty, quality control and project management.

Drawing from experience across a broad range of facility and customer types, Aaron stands ready with the Progressive team, focused on providing energy efficiency with the highest return and the best possible experience to both our large and small commercial/industrial clients.

Rudy Ohrt, Senior Energy Efficiency Specialist

Mr. Ohrt specializes in Commercial and Industrial projects. Mr. Ohrt works with both asset managers and operation personnel to optimize lighting and energy measures. With a background in facilities and commercial buildings, Mr. Ohrt has had regional management positions for Westinghouse and Protection One, focusing on Access Control and Security Systems.

Mr. Ohrt is active in both the Los Angeles and Orange County chapters of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles.





Kisha Christal, Program Manager - Energy Efficiency Specialist

Receiving a Bachelors in Business Management from University of Phoenix, Kisha Christal comes to Progressive with an extensive background in working with Property Managers and Hospitality Management.

Ms. Christal has worked very closely with management in both sectors to identify opportunities to reduce OPEX and maximize efficiency using advanced technologies. Kisha is also familiar with collaborating with the C level executives at large corporations to get sizeable projects done on time and within budget requirements.

Kisha is committed to helping her customers and Strategic Partners find ways to promote energy efficient measures within their organizations and in turn their client base.


Karl Gee, Senior Energy Efficiency Specialist

Karl Gee comes to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, Inc. with over 25 years of experience in the lighting and energy services business. Prior to Progressive, Mr. Gee served as an energy manager for the Boston School Committee, the State of California University at San Jose, and Zayre corporation with over 1200 stores in 23 states. He has also worked in the deregulated energy industry serving as Senior Market Manager for Duke Energy’s “DukeSolutions Co.” serving Fortune 100 companies in the western states. Mr. Gee is active in the renewable energy field and cleantech field and has consulted in emerging technology companies.

As Senior Energy Specialist, Mr. Gee will use his knowledge working directly with the Sales team and the client to develop the best possible energy solutions for that clients needs by specifying appropriate technology products, applicable incentive programs and coordination in multisite installations.

Mr. Gee holds the esteemed professional credential of Certified Energy Manger (CEM) and Certified Energy Purchaser (CEP) and is a member of good standing with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and has implemented and managed large national multi location energy projects.

Michael Hamilton, Energy Efficiency Specialist - San Diego

Michael graduated from Cornell University with a BS in the Science of Earth Systems where he focused on sustainability issues, including energy efficiency and the role of private sector industries in helping promote energy conservation. His passion for sustainability and the world energy crisis led him to Progressive Lighting and Energy Solutions.

He is committed to improving quality of life and reducing business's operating costs by implementing energy conservation measures.








Zach Liske, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Zach comes to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions with extensive experience in sales, and business development in the HVAC and alternative energy segments of the building industry. A certified Green Building Professional, Zach utilizes his technical expertise to recommend solutions that advance the broader goals of energy efficiency and operational expense savings.

Zach specializes in addressing the specific needs of individual stakeholders, with an emphasis on presenting clear and accurate financial projections. Zach is proud to be part of the Progressive team; providing turnkey solutions with an outcome of reducing operational expenses, advancing clients sustainability goals, and providing optimized lighting environments.

Zach holds a class B general contractors license and is an active member of the USGBC. He is a CGBP- Certified Green Building Professional.

John Noel, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Mr. Noel comes to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, Inc. with over 23 years experience in healthcare and environmental sustainability where he has extensive experience in sales, sales management, business development and corporate level contract negotiation. Mr. Noel specializes in helping healthcare facilities, multi-facility health system groups, pharmaceutical manufacturers and medical device companies achieve environmental, social and corporate sustainability objectives by providing customized energy conservation solutions tailored for the healthcare industry.

Mr. Noel is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a BA in Marketing. Additionally, he is a member of ASHE, (American Society of Healthcare Engineers), ASHP (American Society of Health System Pharmacists), and HISCI (Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Institute)

Cheryl Mechling , Energy Efficiency Specialist

Cheryl Mechling specializes in the Commercial and Hospitality Industries. With an extensive backround in large scale design and environmental projects she has a wealth of knowledge and experience to best serve our clients needs.

Ms. Mechling has been a significant contributor in the Environmental Consulting Industry, Marketing remediation services involving toxic products and environmental solutions. She established an Interior Design firm for nineteen years specializing in Hotels, Resorts, City and Country Clubs,leading projects from the planning through completion stages.

Cheryl is a graduate-Bachelor of Arts, California and a certificate in Business Administration- University of California Irvine.

Ms. Mechling is committed to bring the "right" solution to her clients, and has a passion for implementing energy conservation solutions.

Jim Erickson, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Mr. Erickson is an Energy Efficiency Specialist with Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, Inc.

Mr. Erickson joined the company in July of 2006 after completing both his Bachelor and Master of Sciences degrees from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. His studies focused on the introduction of new technologies in the marketplace, management of technical projects, and methods for continuous improvement.

He believes constant communication and attention to detail at all stages of the project are crucial to its success. Mr. Erickson is proud to help each of his clients reduce their operating costs, create a safer and more productive work environment, and help the environment in the process. He is committed to green energy as a means to improve the world.

Mr. Erickson enjoys surfing, cycling, triathlon, and other outdoor activities and sports as well as spending time with friends and family.

Benjamin Lyon, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Mr. Lyon comes to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions with a strong background in customer service, energy efficiency, and the built environment. He is passionate about helping his clients decrease their energy consumption in order to reduce operating costs, increase productivity, and create a more sustainable future. He believes that working closely with clients to create individualized energy saving plans is the key to successful projects and relationships.

Mr. Lyon is an active member of the USGBC and a contributor to the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The California State University at Sacramento, as well as an MBA from The University of Arizona. In his free time, Mr. Lyon enjoys hiking, soccer, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.


Debbie Seto, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Debbie Seto has a very successful background in consultative relationships with Fortune 1000 C-level executives. Ms. Seto is highly skilled at providing innovative financial solutions to a broad scope of industry types. She is a San Francisco native and studied International Business at San Francisco State University.

Debbie’s passion for environmentally friendly practices drew her to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions. She is excited to leverage all of her past experience in helping her clients achieve reduced energy consumption, reduced operating costs, and a reduced carbon footprint.






Gene Quisisem, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Gene Quisisem is an outspoken advocate of energy efficiency. With over 15 years of experience in lighting and integrated building controls, he has received numerous accolades for innovative approach to Net zero energy projects. Gene is systematic and methodical in approach and excited by working with clients that desire to save energy and, ultimately, achieve the substantial financial savings of his work.

Gene is an active collaborator on regional and statewide climate action programs, including the 2010-2020 CPUC California Strategic Plan for Energy Efficiency, and acts as the President of the North Bay Institute of Green Technology, a non-profit organization provides green jobs training for at-risk youth.




Susan Diamond, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Susan Diamond brings over 25 years of experience in the lighting, landscape, and hospitality industries to her projects. She has worked as a high end Landscape Lighting Designer creating unique and creative lighting schemes, emphasizing maximum impact with minimum product and energy consumption. As a Designer, she is committed to the principles of sustainability --- ‘living today without borrowing from tomorrow’.

As an Energy Efficiency Specialist, Susan brings a passion and enthusiasm for conservation into each of her projects. She works closely with her clients to create the most appropriate lighting solutions and secure maximum rebates for their projects.

Susan holds a BS degree in Social Sciences from Binghamton University, NY and is a member of IES, IALD, and APLD.


Heba Petursson, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Heba Petursson comes from a background in the Energy Efficiency sector focusing on lighting and refrigeration retrofits for commercial businesses. Her professional focus is on attaining maximum energy savings for her clients through the use of a variety of energy efficiency measures. She was a founding team member and Assistant Operations Manager for the San Francisco Energy Watch Program. She is LEED AP certified and a member of the USGBC.

Heba appreciates the diverse communities throughout California and enjoys being able to work with all types and sizes of businesses toward cost reductions and sustainability goals. She believes in the principles of doing work that helps lessen the impacts on our environmental footprint and is excited to be a part of the Progressive team.

Heba earned her B.A and M.A from San Francisco State University with a degree in Environmental Planning and Resource Management.

Bey Proctor, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Bey Proctor brings a unique and high level of energy and enthusiasm to the field of Energy Efficiency. Beginning with a diverse sales background, he has developed broad experience auditing facilities and specifying lighting projects working directly for Utility Programs in California. Bey excels at serving the lighting efficiency needs of both large and small commercial utility customers, many with substantially varying site requirements. Bey enjoys bringing his numerous years of experience to his projects at Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, and is always excited to start a new project with clients that are looking to reduce energy consumption, improve their financial metrics, and improve quality of life in their business and community.





Sean Evans, Project Manager

Sean Evans joins the Progressive Lighting team with extensive experience in multi-project managing. Sean invests himself heavily into each project, from start to finish, and maintains comprehensive budget and status reports for all projects.

A fourteen year veteran of the lighting industry, Sean began his career as an installer and quickly moved into project operations. Sean has since served as Project and Service Manager for a national lighting contractor/maintenance provider, and joins Progressive Lighting with the uncanny ability to smoothly manage projects through, planning, execution and completion. He brings with him tools and techniques to gauge the numerous trade-offs between project design and the desired environmental or energy savings objectives of his customers. Sean has overseen multi- location projects for a range of national accounts, ensuring substantial annual energy cost reductions in their facilities.

Sean is credentialed in NAMLCO and ICP, and takes pride in his participation in ongoing industry related training and development.

Lisa Langley, Director Project Development

Lisa Langley comes to Progressive Lighting & Energy Solutions, Inc. with 0ver 12 years of experience in the lighting and energy services business. Prior to Progressive, Ms. Langley worked for one of the nation’s largest lighting and energy service providers as Service Manager, Sale Representative and Regional Administrative Manager.

As Director of Project Development, Ms. Langley will use her knowledge working directly with the Sales team and the client to develop the best possible energy solutions for that clients needs by specifying product and application.

Ms. Langley holds the esteemed professional lighting credential of CLMC (Certified Lighting Management Consultant) and has implemented and managed large national multi location energy projects such as Bank of America, The Limited Stores and Albertsons.
